Blue Drop Vase

Blue Drop Vase.

Beautiful vase, created by melting different shades of blue and clear glass together at 804 degrees Celsius, then allowing the glass to drop through a special mould at 840 degrees Celsius, carefully watching and timing the process, until the centre of the glass reached the bottom of the kiln and then reducing the temperature to 482 degrees, to allow the glass to anneal and develop stability.

The Blue Drop Vase is approximately 120 mm high and the lip of the vase is approximately 165 mm wide.

This is a unique item, which was designed and created in my studio on the Lincolnshire coast.
