Kopparberg cider bottle, which has been recycled into an attractive and useful spoon rest.
This has been created by placing the cider bottle in a ceramic mould and heating in my kiln to 804 degrees Celsius, before reducing the temperature to 570 degrees Celsius and holding for 2 hours to carefully anneal the glass to give it strength. The temperature is then lowered at a carefully controlled rate.
The total process time is around 20 hours.
This recycled cider bottle spoon rest would look great in any kitchen and would make a lovely housewarming gift for someone you care about.
